Hey guys! I know this may be weird, but I am currently looking at a 350z as a track/race car. I have 0 experience with Nissan. I want something that will handle turns better than my 4,000 pound boat (Dodge Charger).

There is a local craigslist ad for a 2004 350z with 143k miles for a little under 6,000 dollars. It has the following modifications (copied from the ad)

Has Injen Short Ram Intake
Berk Technology Test Pipes
Greddy True dual cat back titanium exhaust
5/16 Plenum spacer
Uprev Osiris tuned (comes with cypher cable for laptop)
18x8 wheels with 235/40r18 tires
Aem wideband
Wired for system

Car has 146k miles on it..Runs great is my daily driver would drive it anywhere..a/c and heat work great only cons is paint on front bumper is chipping and rear interior is missing

And from anyone else, what are your pros and cons of the 350? Help is greatly appreciated!

Of the top of my head the bad things that immediately jump out

Window motors in the '03 & '04 frequently go bad
Inferior interior materials (probably not a big deal for you)
Second to third gear change grinds because of synchro setup (fixed in the later CD009 transmissions)

Tons of good though...

Made in great numbers so parts are plentiful both new and from wrecked Zs
Huge aftermarket
Everything that can be done most likely has been done by someone, so you can learn from others' successes and failures

Welcome to NICO! :badger

Now, what exactly is a Berk Technology Test Pipe? I've never heard of that for a Charger...

It's just a straight pipe in place of the more restrictive catalytic converter.

Here's their page for the 350Z

The beauty of this is that it is legal in my state...
