While I was at Ernesto's today a fellow approached me while I was gawking at my Q and offered me his. There it was an absolutely, drop dead, GORGEOUS (can't emphasize that enough) 1990 Q45. I've NEVER seen a 14yr old car in HALF that good of shape. The paint was original, black and perfect. No fade, no scratches, no nothing. The interior had a custom MOLDED wood dash kit and the seats didn't have so much as a scuff, let alone a crack! She had 107k miles and was absolutely PRISTINE. She was sitting on a nice set of 5 spokes and was looking absolutely dope! I only wish I had my camera to take pictures of it. W-O-W, was I ever sharting myself! Rest assured I gave the gentleman NICO's address and got his phone number.

He was asking $4500. Quite possibly worth it... needless to say if it was around a grand lower, I would've bought her on the spot then parted mine out.

If anyone would be interested in the car, feel free to ask for his phone number. I told him if I didn't buy it, chances are I could find someone who would...

Hello, I'm new to the place- aside from a good bit of lurking about anyway- and am hoping to pick up a Q soon. I am getting ready to say goodbye to my turboed Miata and buy an adult car since I have my first kid on the way.

I've been looking around locally for a car, but they have pretty much all been either very high miles- wife doesn't like- or crazy prices. I was just wondering if you knew if the car had the guides done or not. I am willing to deal with a transmission in the near future, or the guides, but I don't think I'm ready for both.

I have been primarily looking at 94-95s for these reasons, but the oomph the older cars have could persuade me to pick one up.....

Angry red, check out autotrader at http://www.autotrader.com

Beaverton has some SCREAMING deals and you are practically in OR already.

Just a quick search I found some that may be promising:http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/...st=93

http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/...t=188

those are two that just popped up. Obviously it will be hard to know the maintenance record of them since it is a used car lot, but with discretion, they could turn out to be good deals.

Check autotrader every couple of days (on fridays saturdays and sundays every day) and try to find the awesome deal for you.

I was able to get a 91 w/ just under 100k (going to probably break 100k this week) guides done and nearly full maintenance records for $2500 (having a minor issue with steering right now, but that will be easily resolved).

Yeah, thats been the bugger, virtually every good car I have found is a dealer car. I may eventually break down and buy one, but I would very much prefer a private party. I've been relentlessly staring at auto trader, hoping for another good car to show up.

I will likely just end up getting a dealer car, they seem fairly receptive to letting me have the dealers tech tear the car apart. That is the only thing that stopped me from buying the nicest Q I've seen so far, the owner didn't want to go through the trouble of taking the car down to Portland.:(

Yes, yes, that would be cool. I wouldn't mind a flight down there and a quick drive back:D Be a shame to have to take a day or two off work.....

Did you drive the car at all?
