Found it!

Nice! Get it! and then let the modding begin!!!
I thought I wanted silver, then black when I had to shop for my new-to-me M37. There weren't many M56s, but I also was a little worried about the whole oil consumption/timing chain guide issue and there seemed to be more aftermarket bolt ons and support for the VQ engine.

I found a white sport model and when I looked at it in person, it seemed even better. Man, it does NOT hide the dirt, but harder to see swirls/swirl marks unless you're up close.

What year is it? I think they started adding the rear sonar back up sensors in the 2013 models and up, but otherwise the remaining options are the same since 2011.
Q70s with the newest body style started getting the all-around camera view (kinda think that's cool)

Thanks guys. It's a 2011 M56s, with all the bells and whistles. I had test driven another sport and loved all the tech so I had to get it.
I got to test it out over my 14 hour drive back home and it truly is an amazing car. I think my distance control sensor is a little trippy as sometimes it wouldn't recognize vehicles in front of me, but otherwise I have no regrets.

I did look for a 2013 M and the Q70 sports as well, but I thought this was a pretty good deal for my intentions with the car. Maybe in another 2 or so years depending on what the Q80 does to the market.
I had been cross-shopping the Chevy SS, but I sat in one and the material quality, fit and finish was a major turn off despite the stickshift that i wanted. Paddleshifters work pretty well here.

I bought mine in February and love the damn thing. It's got the Malbec paint which really gets the looks.

I'm glad I bought mine, I'm sure you'll love yours. Get some wheels and tires for winter if you are in a slow area, it's amazing how good they are in snow.

Btw, Pedsemdoc that car looks amazing, something about white cars! What color is your interior?
I used to think grey paint was a cop out color by manufacturers, but I really like it on my M45. It hides most dust and dirt as well as minor scratches

And malbec paint is the business! The owner of the first car I had test driven was gracious enough to meet up twice. Loved how the sun made a difference to the appearance.

Credit it to climate change or whatever else, but the St. Louis area doesn't seem to get half the winters we got when I first moved here 9 years ago, at least the precipitation part of it. All season tires is all I've needed recently, but if I'll have sold the faithful winter vehicle (Jag XJ8 with the aluminum body) by then I'll see if I can use the spare m45 wheels. 19" winter tires have got to be cheaper than 20s, right?

Thanks alot, EdBwoy. I really like black too, especially if you do the whole Batman, blacked out thing, cover the chrome, black rims, etc.

My interior is that "weird" combo black and stone: stone colored seats and arm rests, black steering wheel, door trim, carpet. I kinda like it, not so hot if it were all black, and not everything so light colored that it shows the dirt, although I detail pretty regularly, so that would NOT be an issue.

I think I remembered someone commenting about why would you wash/wax/detail your car every 1-2 weeks: if you only cleaned your home once every 6 months, imagine how dirty it would be right before you cleaned it and how long it would take to get it cleaned vs if you clean your home regularly and often, it doesn't take nearly as long with less effort.

Hey, not so weird, I'm with you on that - if the exterior isn't black, play with the interior. I remember getting bored with my 97 Maxima's beige interior and getting black trims and things including the headliner from the junkyard to make a two-tone interior. Simpler times those were!

Well, forget that part. I was doing some maintenance this weekend (oil, oil filter, air filters, checked brakes, etc). As I was familiarizing myself with the layout of components in this chassis, I figured I might as well test out the other wheels I could lay my hands on, for the potential of a winter setup.

M56 front sport brakes versus the others:

2003-2004 Infiniti M45. 18 inch wheels
7.5" wide, offset 40
Won't clear. Nice offset, but with spacers they might poke quite a lot.

2006-2007 M45/ M35 sport 19-inch wheels
8.5" wide, offset 50
Won't clear either. I know I've posted a pic of a Y51 with them on, but you'd need spacers.

FX50 sport 21-inch wheels
9.5" wide, offset 50
Clears both the brakes and steering knuckle. It barely clears the knuckle (approx half an inch), but hey clear is clear, right? Meaty tires might rub without spacers.

FX45 sport 20-inch wheels
8" wide, offset 40
Doesn't clear the brakes either

I doubt the FX 20" will fit without a spacer
