Hi all,

Firstly, I'd like to say hello to all of you, and let you all know that I'm glad I joined this forum...there seems to be a wealth of information here and plenty of you guys are eager and willing to help and/or offer advice. I recently traded out of my 2010 Mazda3 to purchase the AC, and I'm really glad I did.

Secondly, I've done a few things to my AC, added some cosmetic upgrades, like the Altima kickplates, some license plate frames, all weather mats, tinted windows, etc. I've also installed the K&N Typhoon intake as well as the NISMO exhaust. I'm loving it so far. However, I've run into something that has been bothering me lately. Whenever I turn my steering wheel all the way to the left and accelerate, I hear this strange clicking or ticking noise...similar to that of dripping water out of an air conditioner. At a stand still or if I'm just driving straight or making a normal turn, nothing happens. I can only hear it with the windows down, but it is a real annoyance because it doesn't sound normal to me. I can hear it especially when I'm making a sharp turn into my driveway which is a bit uphill. I'm worried that it may be a worn CV joint, but it really doesn't make sense since it's a brand new car. I brought it to the dealer twice and of course, when I'm in the car with the mechanic, the car doesn't make any noise. It seems like it only begins to make the noise when the car has been running for a while. I'm really hoping it's just something minor, or maybe it's nothing at all. Do any of you have any ideas of what this could be? Or if it's normal or abnormal? Thank you so much in advance and sorry for the essay.

Mike

Take the suspect wheel off and flip the cotter-pin over on the hub nut. The head of the pin can click on each revolution and by flipping it over it usually will fix it. I had to on my drivers side wheel, and so have a few others. May not fix it, but it's an easy and free thing to try.

Sweet, I'll try that later today to see if it resolves the issue.
