When I bought my '80 S130 I noticed the previous owner had the tires all filled up to 40psi, the max indicated on the sidewall. The sticker inside the center console recommends 28 for low speeds and 36 I think for 100mph+ driving. A couple weeks ago I read somewhere that the numbers on sidewalls tend to be way too high, so I let some air out to get all of them to around 30psi, but now the car pulls to the left like a bastard! It had a very mild pull before, which I assumed was an alignment thing. Could reducing tire pressure amplify an alignment problem, or might this indicate something else? Tread looks good with even wear all around.

I would just get a an alignment and fill the tire to the recommended amount.

the pressure printe don the tire si the max pressure for that given tire, what pressure to run at depends on the car, 28 is a bit low I'd run 30-35 psi for street driving, also the high pressure might have helped to disguise an alignment, caster, camber issue, with the high pressure less of the tire was grabbing the road, now that mroe tire is in contact it amplifies the issue, take ti in for an alignment for sure

Ok, that's what I thought might be happening. Maybe I'm not so bad at this stuff after all!
