Dude, I just bought my A/C about a month ago. It's the best car I have ever owned. You won't regret getting it. I live in the midwest, so i don't have a clue about pricing in FL or anything, but I encourage to buy the Altima. You'll love it man.

3.5 or bust. Don't expect too much aftermarket bolt on support for this car though, it's fairly limited.

So far I like what I see, had a 95 maxima before as well, love the nissan name. I want a little bit of bolt on, but it isn't bad that it is limited...less chance of me spending more. Appreciate any and all feedback! Hope this community becomes a new home. :)

i regret getting a 2.5 due to its subpar hp, but thats really the only regret I have! an A/C is a great, cheaper alternative to a g37. get a 3.5 6-speed and you should be good to go.

ps. get it in winterfrost! :naughty:

You'll want the extra power of the 3.5L after a month or two. So go 3.5 or boost 2.5. 3.5 in 6 speed is hard to find, however, it can be done if you're not too picky.

Obstacle my man!!!! you got everything right and even the winterfrost!!! FTW

there are a few other AC members down in FL Viper5000 is in Tally, HelloJarred is in Orlando I think and of course Mike who already commented!!!

So Id say look for a white 3.5 manny and you will be set... the CVT has a a lot of problems for modding and I would definintely caution it!

I have 3.5 CVT and manual is the only thing I would have switched if I could do it over again

What sort of problems does the 2.5 run into with turbo?

Tuning (thats with any project)
CVT = No go, it will blow up.
Other then that, Mines been boosted for about a year on 7psi (eBay Turbo). I have rebuilt the turbo once and replaced simple things like oil return line, blow off valve, clamps, etc.

As of late, no issues. Been running A1 (knocks on wood).

It will be expensive and time consuming, but anything else you need to know, send me a PM.

Go 3.5... IF you don't plan on modding much then the CVT route is just fine. It comes with 120,000 mile/10 year warranty.

Definitely used and the year doesn't bug me, trying to save as much money as I can. Any help would be appreciated. As much as I love my A4 I am done with the european repair costs. And in my opinion the AC is way more sexy. Plus the Audi was automatic :tisk:

I was about to say if you were getting a new one and you were boosting a 2.5 you may as well get a 3.5 because they are close to the same hp.

Hmm, found a 6cyl auto in laser red in my area. Want to hold out for manual. Just don't want this to drag on for a couple months.

actually thats incorrect Danny's 2.5 turbo is running close to 300whp..... which is way faster than a 3.5. I have almost every mod except Turbo and im running somewhere between 220-240whp :tisk: :tisk: very sad...

If you really want a turbo hold out, if you dont want a turbo u will be fine without Manual.

I have a 6cyl CVT and I'm really pleased with it. I can shift when I want to or throw it in auto when I'm feeling lazy. :) I don't plan on turboing my car though.

I'm thinking I may shoot for the 6cyl, I won't be able to boost it as much as my audi, and I love the growl of 6 with exhaust.
