Post

Ok i got a 2003 350Z touring with standard brakes. So the story goes something like this, I was talking to another Z driver this past weekend about braking issues with our Z's. He said he was at MSR cresson and his brakes boiled. Background on the car and he has a 2003 touring edition with standard brakes at the time.

After talking to this guy, is this a common issue with the Z's standard brakes? If I was thinking about tracking the car lightly, is there something I can do to avoid this? I have a 2003 Z touring with standard brakes. Also, what manufacturer/compounds do you recommend for DE events?

I am thinking about doing a track event (not new to DE events, but new to the car) but want to have an issue (as much as possible) weekend as I can.

I plan to eventually make the car a strictly track car, but for the time being, stoptechs are a little out of my budget.

Thanks in advance!
