Possibly buying a 91 300zx twin turbo

I am looking at a 91 300zx twin turbo with 78000miles 5 speed. The guy has had the car is storage for over 4 years. He parked it after it had some "idling issues" and never got a chance to mess with it. The body, paint and interior are exceptional (other than dust and cobwebs from sitting. Everything on the car is bone stock, no mods or changes at all. The car is still in storage so he has not tried to start it or clean it at all. I know that there are a lot of unknowns about any mechanical problems. What would be a fair price to offer for the car?

I really cant give you any advice on the price, but that sounds like a great car to revive!

Well, sounds like a good deal. Other than sitting for a while of course. Gonna have to make sure the gas is still good, check out the idle concerns (probably something simple as running ECU codes and doing maintenance, would most likely want to do a vacuum leak test for good measure) Also, add a good fuel system cleaner like Techron or 44K that is only available at the Nissan dealership, but good stuff. Maybe pull the fuel filter and air filter for replacement. Clean the throttle bodies with some throttle body cleaner and a toothbrush. Probably change the plugs if they haven't been done and verify gap sizes. And lastly just pull all the connectors and clean them and use dialectic grease on all the connectors.

That is usually what I do on a brand new Z that any of my friends purchase or bring by for me to check out.

Thanks, I cant wait to get it on the road. my wife had a 350z for a couple years and loved it, but I always wanted a turbo 300zx.
