Thank you for the welcome.AZhitman wrote:Without inspecting it in person, hard to say.
Tell-tale signs would be the moldings around windows, inside door jambs, and a comparison to the underhood area.
Lemme get the Z31 expert in here.
Welcome aboard!
If you're talking about what I think you're talking about, those are only found on the 84-86 models.Perrenial Badass wrote:There are black plastic "trim" pieces inboard of the headlight doors, along the bumper cover. There isn't really any practical way to mask so overspray doesn't get on these pieces. So if there's gray or red paint on that piece, it's a respray.
Then you really don't know what you're talking about since the 87-89 models do not have that either. Only found (once again) on the 84-86 models. 87-89 models have the fog lights in the lower bumper and do not possess anything around the headlights. No trim rings or anything.Perrenial Badass wrote:^Must not be thinking about the same thing. I'm not talking about the trim piece that goes around the headlight and foglight, plastic pieces that go on either end of the hood latch you bolt in.
Tried checking under the carpet or an interior trim piece?
And you lack the comprehension skills to properly read what I wrote. Luckily for you, I like underlining crap, so I will add some emphasis to words you might have missed.AZ-ZBum wrote:Then you really don't know what you're talking about since the 87-89 models do not have that either. I figured you were talking about that trim piece, since the only other thing it sounds like you may be referring to is that rubber weather stripping.Perrenial Badass wrote:^Must not be thinking about the same thing.
