possible wrong front springs and struts?

Hi. I am no mechanic, but something about my front springs doesn't look right.Here is a diagram of what it would look like from in front of each front tire.

The springs are huge and are just above the tires. This differs from the ones in the rear, which are not hovering just above the tires.

If this is abnormal and needs to be fixed (which is what I'm guessing), I would greatly appreciate some of your opinions on this.

thats normal. the front springs are big, rear springs are small.

So it is normal for the spring to hover just above the top of the tire (about an inch, maybe a little less) ?

The front has a strut suspension, the rear is a shock. Fundamentally the same, just different physical design.
