Ok heres the deal, used to working on dsm's. one of which runs 8s without the bottle. got tired of workin on everyone elses pride n joy. wanted something different so i got a sohc 240sx. thing is,its a ka and i want a ka-t. My questions are, how reliable or possible is a kaet 450whp-500whp?

I want to either use 3071 or a gt35r. was thinking of using arias pistons, ams rods, crower v2 cams, jgs manifold. didnt know if they would hold up with that much power, was also curious what injectors? thanks guys, any other input would be awesome, like i said i just got this car and want to start asap.

450 rwhp is right around the supposed edge of the JGS manifold.

It's all in your budget, if you really want a relilable 450+ rwhp KA, you're going to spend some money. AFAIK, Crower doesn't make a cam for the KA24ET btw. There is less support out there for the SOHC, but it is possible to get it running that fast.

That's awesome man, I'm glad you like my stuff I guess, lol.

AFAIK is 'as far as I know'.

PDM I believe makes a cam for the KA24E, but to be perfectly honest with you, it's cheaper to buy a whole KA24DE and trans then just their cam for a KA24E. You'll find it might not be worth while to build that motor up to the length your looking.

I like the Ka24De better, they have more stuff on the market for the kade and not just that most of those high hp ka's are usually the de motors. if you want to stick w/ the kae then go for it, but i think you'll find more stuff to play with the kade.

w/ something like a gt35 you'll be able to make 500+whp, but yes make sure if you want it to be reliable then build up the motor. There are members on here that made 400+whp on stock internal, but recommend motor work to be reliable.
