My 09 Rogue came with the dash-mounted (hardwired) Garmin GPS System. Unfortunately my car was burglarized and the mount was torn off the dash and the Garmin Nuvi 750 was stolen. I was able to replace the mount (with the same system so I don't have a big hole in my dash) but am wondering if it is possible to upgrade to a different Garmin Nuvi. I've tried my local Garmin retailers but they don't seem to get what I'm asking and unfortunately they don't have floor models to test the power connection on. Has anyone else found themselves in a similar position?

i would try going to garmin.com and asking there. the rogue has a garmin 750 as you've said. all you would need to do is find out what other models use the same base (mount)

at least it seems that simple to me

good luck!

I have only seen 2 version of the power connectors for Garmin Nuvi Receivers:

Mini-USB: Used on most older units and the 200, 300, 500 series

Flat connector: Used on the 600, 700, 800 series.

You can search for power cables for your old 750... it lists applicable models, this is how I know the 600,700,800 series use the same cable.

You should be able to swap to any model in the series. Although you can get more more features... all Nuvi's still use the same maps.
