For a while now ive been hearing a creaking noise when i turn my wheel.its much worse when turned to the left.

the sound resembles old creaking wooden floor boards to give a further example.its loud and embarrassing when making slow turns.

my tie rod-end on the left side has more play when moved side to side on the boll joint if that says anything.

Car is a 95 nissan 250sx.Energy suspension Front bushings replacement w/ exception of the steering column bushing.and im running a rather heavy 19inch sport-max wheel all around ha.if that says anything( causing quicker wear?)

looking forward to some input on this guys.

I had planed to replace both inner and outer tie-rods and steering column bushing but money isn't really on my side at the moment so id like to pinpoint the problem and fix it.

thanks

hmmm...this is puzzling

i had this problem on my z32 also it was caused by the ps pump, it would always wine and such when i turned the car hahahah

possible with yours mabye?

if its worst on the left than maybe there is a malfucntion with your ps rack on the left side

ohhh and any play in the tie rods is bad bad bad, although i dont think it would cause creaking

wtf is a 250sx? Was that a typo or is there seriously such thing Btw i dont think its your PS pump I have the same problem when going up driveways it sounds like old wood creaking and i have a new PS pump. Now i already know my suspensions shot but idk what component of the susp it is though bad struts makes sense to me.Any one else got any better insight?
