might this work on the versa as well? any of you mechanically inclined care to take a look and see?

(link shows how to modify the accelerator pedal internals to eliminate the first .5 inch or so dead spot in the 05-08 mustang throttle which is now drive by wire.)

Thats more of a pedal stop, same for when people fab them up for the clutch to stop moving at its activation point or make it activate sooner and stop when its fully engaged.IIRC a good grounding kit will help throttle lag, but I doubt what your experiencing is because of the pedal more likely because of the drive by wire.it can't be any worse than in a stock scion tC

Well, this is interesting. I always thought that DBW throttle lag was due to computer fussiness - I've read that some manufacturers have offered a DBW computer reflash (as a TSB) with updated software to improve throttle response.

I never really thought about it on that level, though, since the gas pedal is just a glorified switch.

I'm not seeing how that would help...

Isn't the Versa Drive by Wire?

I guess the grounding of the chassis in a vehicle that utilizes dbw is meaningless. so say no to an extra ground line for the throttle body, and stay away from grounding kits.Ignore this I should stay in the 240 forum.

Haha, yeah, I hear you on that one. Let someone else be the guinea pig!
