alright. i got a 90 s13 hatch. 52,xxx miles. yes original, and documented. its my daily driver, but i want a little extra, not sr extra, but a little boost.

heres what i was thinking:log manifold, t3/4 turbo(merkur,300zx or something similiar), 3" downpipe into my 3" apex'i exhaust, volvo fmic, custom piping, random bov, manual boost controller, uprgraded fuel pump, pressure regulator, and boost and afr gauge.

also, upgraded clutch, and j30 vlsd.

anybody who can fill in any holes, and add advice, i apreciate it.

mike

Use a FMU instead of the fpr and you'll be set for a basica starter kit.

My only suggestion is that you buy a new T3 on ebay. They are very cheap nowadays, almost to the point of making the used models inadequate<---big word huh.

thanks for the recomendation.

ive slowly been collecting the parts for this setup, but was wondering about oil lines.

if i was to install a remote oil filter kit, would it be alright to tap into these for feed and return to the turbo? if not, were is a good place to tap in for feed? return is easy enough.

thank, mike

You tap into oil supply on the intake side of the engine. Just forward of the oil filter is the oil pressure sensor. Remove that, insert a t block fitting, it will have 2 threaded holes now. One for the oil pressure and one for your oil line. For return you use a large line, I'd use 5/8s size line and tap directly into the oil pan. The return line should be as straight as possible.

AFR gauge wont work unless its a wideband, and that will cost you a bit of money. Grab an EGT gauge instead and figure it out from there.

Dont skimp on your boost controller!

most afr gauges read 0-1V input signals i believe. the wideband sensor will have a greater voltage range, so i dont think thats gonna help you out much
