as you all know , nothing will ever take the G20's place..

but i stumbled across a odd ball car ...

a 1990 Chrysler Lebaron VNT came up for sale , ive been wanting this car for a year now , as it is one of 25 ever made ,and one of 8 with its color combo.....for $1500!!!!!

she needs a ton of work and stuff , heres the prob , its not near as nice as my g was and not near as relaible ...bascialy im going from one kick *** little car to a very rare turbo chrysler k car , see what i mean , one hell of a step down .....but its so rare and chrysler turbos rule.....

So its now between this and that 2000 subaru imprezza 2.5rs , this car has every STI part on it that was availbe for it , plus the rear wing off the coupe 2.5 RS this one makes around 180hp , its kinda slow but its got full records and service recripts , and its so clean it can be eaten off of

the new beetle turbo was a peice of junk , its got serios quality problems (wonder if it cuz its built in mexico) ...

so what do you guys think ? since the only interesting nissan here is sold (the new 350z) i saw it in person ....there isnt words to describe that car , had to take a cold shower afterwards ....

gwen stehani is on mtv , gotta go

If it's even a question, I think you need to go back to the doctor and make sure that head injury isn't more severe than they had thought. Yes it would be cool to have a rare car, but Stoney.... COME ON DUDE!!! it's a freaking K-car!!! I'll buy you a Neon, and put pink rims on it... that's rare too, does it make it cool?....NO!!

First off, you said safety is now an important issue. I can tell you (but I'm sure you already know) K-cars fold like tinfoil... they are NOT a safe car.

The 350z is very nice in person. My ex-girls neighbor just got one. I used to be good friends with him, not since the break-up though. Maybe he'll let me drive it one day.

How about a 95 thru 99 MAxima?

Powerful, relatively inexpensive (5-11k maybe more in AK), roomy. good rust resistance, comfortable a larger back seat area :naughty.More space to put PCS stuf in.Excelent gas milage for a V6.famous vQ30 engine.

If I eveer lost my Q and had to get another car on a bit of a budget that's what I would get...:thinker

Strong body in a Max too.

Fred...:)

PS: I share maineimports sentiments, on the Subaru vs the Chrysler.

yeah stoney, check out some 3rd and 4th gen maxes. heck look at the deal I got on that 96 I30t. Very strong motor and none of the gens seem to ever have ANY probs whatsoever! Plus they've been putting turbo's on the 4th gens recently and that seems to be your thing. There's a guy here in KY that can give you a killer deal on the parts and labor for ya!

Why you gotta buy one THERE? Pick out a nice, rust-free Arizona car you like on AutoTrader.com and I'll have it checked out by a mechanic for ya. Shipping shouldn't be more than a grand, and you'll do better than either of the POS's you've mentioned. Might even be able to get one of those "drive-away" companies to deliver it!

took the scooby out on a long test drive today ,it performed flawlessly , confidance inspireing little car , but my back hurt so friggin bad after that i knew i couldnt buy it as i would be so unconfortable . A good freind of mine decided to buy the VNT lebaron and sell me his 1995 GTI VR6 , after driveing it all day im pretty sure i want it , car is awesome , jump on it and this huge *** roar comes out from the hood and bam your haulin *** , a absoloute hoot to drive like every other GTI ever made ...too bad this one was put together in mexico , it really shows ...im afriad ill neevr see the build quaility i saw in the infiniti , but as for comfort and charater this car makes up for it , doesnt need much work either , ill take some time on it to correct some of the little build issues but i think this car is well worth the money ... so for right now the 95 GTI is the most liekly canadate..... sometime late next week ill report the final outcome on the replacement for the G20

farfromnissan .....drivers wanted

Stone,Repoman and I went to test drive cars today. Even though I am not in the same situation, I am looking to get rid of my 240. We went to the local Nissan dealership and test drive the '03 Spec V, Maxima and the 3.5 Altima. I was impressed with the performance of the Spec V and the Altima (I own a 2.5).

Leaving the dealership I was in a state of confusion as to what I wanted to drive for now on. After discussing “what I wanted in a car,” with Repoman we decided that I wanted something that I could Autocross and still race on the streets. We went to the Subaru dealership and we test-drove the WRX. I didn’t push the car to its limits, Repoman and the sales person were giving me a hard time about it, but I am beginning to like it. I have never driven an AWD car but I shocked the heck out of me. What has really impressed me about Subaru is the fact that they have a total different philosophy on making and selling cars. I don’t think they kid themselves about the fact that people buying the WRX are going to race them or drive them hard. The sales associate had indicated that Subaru sent him to various driving schools to appreciate the car. In their literature they sell parts that are made for racing and rallying.

Right now I am either thinking of buying a Spec V or a WRX. Price should be a problem with either one of these cars. Could someone weigh in on this topic and help me make up my mind? Thanks,

i know ill piss someone off by saying this but the WRX is beatter than the sentra SER in every way , lower cg to the engine layout ..everything about the car is beatter in my opionon . i wish i could have swung the payments cuz i would have bought the little red wagon REX at the dealer , but im getting out of the military soon so i wanna keep the payments small so the rex is out for now untill things are settled .....even the 2000 2.5 RS felt more sure footed than the infiniti G20 or the GTI , it was so good that a week after the crash i didnt feel too bad pushing it a little on the open highway . the clutch tho took some getting used to , but everything is put toghetehr right , it has volkswagon like egronomics , and anyone ive ever talked to thats owned one has had nohting bad to say , in fact one owner mentioned he was in a similar accident and invited me to his place to review pics of his WRX that rolled down a mountain that he walked away from and hitchhiked the 200 miles back to fairbanks . the scooby rules dude . i got nissan in my veins but ill admit a awesome ride when i see it ....

looked at the new accord coupe today , i never felt so cramped in a midsize coupe, and i will fill the rear seat with raw sewage just to get rid of that nasty new honda scent , has to be the worst new car smell my nose has ever picked up, my nose has never been so violated , and im counting some nico members faimly members on this one ....and i tend to worry about the gauges , they appear to be backlit and on all the time even when the key is off and lamps are switched off ..just a peice of junk that looks like a new Q in the back ...

The 95 VR6 will do just fine till i get out of collage and get a kick *** job

That's a good car, even tho it's not a Nissan/Infiniti, I owned a Passat w/ a VR6 before.

Be sure you run the right oil w/ these in AK.(And I sure hope the previous owner did). They used to call for a 10w-40 or 15w-40 in winter cuz those were the thinnest weoght 40 weights out there at the time. The VR6's now call for a 5w-40 or a 0w-40.many dealers still put in 15w-40 Dino oil and say it's factory recommended, when the factory really recommends a 5w-40 now for VR6's,But the printed manuals from back then, hadnt adjusted for the new availabilty of those oils yet and list 10w/15w-40 oils for winter.

In AK winter I would use 0w-40 MOBIL1 in it.

The GTI is a spectacular car... I think they feel too heavy and the handling feels like it lags... but that's just a matter of getting used to the feel.

The GTi fell thru , so did the scooby (2k down and 12.9%) , finaceing game is killing me so i decided for screw all that , buying a 87 toyota pickup next week and bought a 1991 Mitubishi Galant VR4 , the galant will wait untill i get back to florida as its in south carolina right now awaiting my return for delivery .

This galant is quite the odditity ,made in japan, awd, aws and the vernable 4g63 turbo from the eclipse , only 2000 of these were made in 1991 and like 1000 in 92 . she needs some paint and a clutch but other than that im told its fairly solid , buying from a dude ive known for 3 years so im pretty safe on this one , should be a kickass project car .

the toyota on the other hand is pretty bad butu the 22re and the rest of the drivetrain is there and thats all i care about, gonna do a 2 tone rhinoliner/primer paint job on it with a florescent red flame job , it should look like *** , espicly with a budget lift and 33inch snow tires , but at least ill have my own trail rig , not to mention i have a excuse to buy that sawzall ive always wanted , gotta do some cancer surgery:ylsuper

87 Yota!!! Unfortunately it's an IFS right? Oh well, they hold up alright, just not as good off road as our beloved Yota solid axle!
