So I am changing the oil on my wife's 2001 Altima and just checking everything out for the big trip we got this coming weekend....and it seems as if the Altima slave cylinder might just bolt up to the RB25 trans. Its got a banjo fitting for the oil inlet, but that is easy to get around...especially if it works on the RB25 trans...One of you guys might want to try it if you are in a pinch as my wife wont let me take it off....BOOOOO!

No promises, but the bolt pattern is the same & appears to be identical...

Good possible find Jon.

If you can once you are under the car again, try to measure the center to center bolt spacing on the slave cylinder. I will compare it with mine whenever you get me the measurements. Also, try to measure the actual cylinder length itself as well.

Reason being, I found that the 1993 Honda Accord slave cylinder would bolt up, but the slave cylinder was slightly to short. With the rod fully extended, it would only move the fork about 1/2 to 5/8 of the total distance it needed to be moved. Anyways, hopefully this will work, even though I just got my new one from McKinney.....Oh well.....

Push. It appears to be the same as the R33 RB25 Trans.

Brian, if you wanna send it to me, that would be great! I think you still got my address.

Sil: that main problem was that the Accord slave cylinder sat almost perfectly on the holes on the transmission. Making a bracket that would place the slave cylinder where it needed to be would be very difficult. Since I can return parts for free at any Autozone/Advanced Auto, I will get one tomorrow and compare the Altima slave to the RB25 push type......
