Possible repair?

Hello,My Rogue has been squealing when I accelerate. It seems when I either accelerate from a stop fast or when I speed up to enter the highway, I hear a squealing noise from the rear area of the car. Also sometimes when I come to a stop sign or sudden stop, the RPMs dip down between 1 and 0..almost like it might be a stall, but quickly bounce back up. Not sure if these issues are related or what could be causing them. I realize I should bring it into the shop, but would like to have an idea of what it is before bringing it in.

Are you sure the sound is coming from the rear?I just started getting a Grinding sound from the front when I accelerate at various times. Seems to occur when the tachometer is between 2.5 and 3, which is usually when accelerating to merge into traffic. I've been able to force it up there by downshifting and I get the same result. When reving in park I get no sound.I'll be bringing it in this week hopefully.29k miles on my 2008 SL AWD.

No idea. Bring it to the dealer.

interesting...let me know what the dealer tells you. Maybe its just a belt issue.

My problem is now fixed. The heat shield on my car had gotten damaged. They re-clamped it and now no more grinding sound.
