Possible QX newbie!! Help?

So I am considering the move here from my '08M45 Sport adv. Tech plus rear dvd! Space issue with my growing family!! What can you guys help me out with as far as pros and cons on this beast!! Any engine issues? transmission issues? Electrical? Anything helps... Looking at an '08 QX56 2wd...56k miles for $29,900. I think it's a good price but I still negotiate....
My brother has an '04 Murano and the engine mounts went out on it early(70k)...

Engine and drivetrain are the powerhouse of this vehicle! No issues at all, in fact, you stick with an '08 or newer QX56 or Armada LE or Platinum, and you will be in heaven! You may also want to consider the '08 or '09 Armada LE, that has pretty much almost all of the features on the QX56 but you should be able to find one with less miles for the same price. I previously owned a 2004 QX56, 2008 Armada LE, and now drive a 2010 Armada Platinum.

But again, 2008 and newer, no issues at all, all rattles were taken care of, nicer interiors (QX56 and Armada are identical '08+), no brake issues. Simply cannot go wrong.

Ok, sounds good! '08+ it is!! Do they all come with the updated hard drive nav, music box, ipod, etc.??

There is a new update for the map every year, but other then that the versions are the same. Nothing different about the music box, hard drive, or iPod.

These trucks are the shizznits. I have an older QX56 that had some of the quality issues Timmbo mentioned and I still love it. I took care of everything and since then, the truck has been pretty damn reliable and is like a tank. I may upgrade to a newer QX but I don't think I will ever sell my current 04' QX56. I'll use it as a work truck to take camping, etc. You can't go wrong with a newer version of one of these.

Thanks guys! Pretty much got my mind set on the '08+Qx just trying to stay under thirty grand and want low miles....sooner or later it'll happen!! Just gotta get my M45 back to stock asap... Right now it's dropped and on 22"s....

I am a newbie and have a 2010 QX and not a problem here. Any truck rated to pull 9k lbs should have a transmission that lasts more than a lifetime.

THe engine on these are solid and well, its a nissan and I am still driving my 97 maxima!

Pick it up, just remember they are thirsty vehicles!

Thanks Nate_man! I totally understand the thirsty issue..... I too have had many nissan's/Infiniti's and I really like them a lot! Going in to dealership tomorrow friday, (9/02) and try and trade it as is with the 22" I'll just put the stock springs back on....put cash down and see what goes down !!

Decided to hold off on the QX for now.... Just got a set of stock 19" for my 08 M45S just in case I come accross anything good!! I sold mine and will need a set if I decide to sell or trade!!

I would have to say I love my M so much that it's hard for me to let it go... We have a Toyota Sienna that does the job for now.. In a perfect world I would like to keep my Fuully loaded M45 and still get a newer QX(not so perfect, lol)!! I'l be looking again early next year since we are planning road trips to my native California in the late spring/early summer!! We'll have to see what's out in the market...
