Hey everyone. I'm new to the 720 world, not to Nissans. I'm actually obsessed with them to be honest. My POS Dodge is one its way out, and I might be picking up an '86 720 for pretty cheap (haven't seen it yet, so it's a huge maybe). I have been looking for information but there isn't too terribly much. Not compared to 240's at least. I'm mainly wondering about suspension. Is it at all possible to convert over to a coilover setup? I would like to get this thing stiff as hell. I'm also wondering about the transmission... apparently this 720 is "missing 3rd gear". This is kind of a prelim to a possible ownership in the future.

Sorry to be "that guy". I would love to do more research, but have to go to sleep, and won't be on the computer for more than a few minutes for the next couple of days. Thanks in advance for any information you guys have for me.

Any thing except drop spindles and standard type shocks you will need to do your self. you can replace all rubber bushings with teflon as a start and build from there.

As concerns the transmission, if its manual it would most likely be the synchromesh. If its auto it will depend on if its hydro or hydro-electric. Could be clutches or sensors. You'll have to scrap it to find out.
