alright now that i have your attention here is my problem, i have a 91 240 with a 93 ka. the issue is that if i get on the gas with the maf sensor connected on the right way i cant rev up past 2500 much like a faulty maf however at about 25% throttle it will rev up to redline. also if i disconnect the ground that leads to the maf the car will rev up just fine but runs super rich because its stuck reading 5 volts. someone give me ideas, I'm DEAD serious about the paypal, i'm desperate here now. please someone help a brother out!

hmmm, corroded plug i'll see into that... oh and i've tried 3 mafs, 2 of which are known working ones, and swaped out about 3 ecus as well still no change. wtf is going on here? i always keep getting the maf and knock sensor codes on all the ecus. this is kicking my butt.

check the maf plug for corrosion and the wiring that goes from the maf back to the ecu very common problem on 240's, also if you clean the connection disconnect your battery for a few minutes to reset the ecu.

That's what happens when you tinker w/ wiring & emissions - you could have inadvertently created some issues.

I don't know what your definition of doing "a lot of wiring on the car", but you may be better off @ this point returning things to stock.

if ur replacing good maf's & ecu's & still getting maf sensor codes, the only thing left is the maf wiring.

if u haven't replaced the knock sensor & knock sensor subharness, then you should do that as well.
