possible loose vacuum line

my heating vents have been squeeking around under the dash latly. and no that it has cooled off here in the NE, I tried my heat the other day and have noticed that the vents will only move between the defrost and dash positions. I try and put it to the feet and it will be a delayed move and then it shifts back to the defrost position. Is there a way for me to check on the vacuum lines(if that is what they are) or is this going to be a pain.

also, does anyone know of a good factory manual for the 2005 nissan pathfinder?
