Possible LED circle type tail lights?

I was thinking about the whole angel eye thing, and the problems associated with fitting the ring inside of the headlight, since it doesn't have a projector.

What about the tail lights though? Since they are already a circular design, it may be possible to fit a red angel eye ring in there, such as this one off of Ebay:



What do you guys think about this idea? I would have to wait until the weather improves to fool around with the car... It's too cold to ride a motorbike at the moment. Just throwing the idea out there.

lol what do we call these... angel asses

and if i wasnt mistaken you cant open up the tail like you can open up the headlights

Yeah maybe they can't, but I'm just goin from experience. They open up quite easily on a last gen Celica...

I will fool around with them on Wednesday when I install my cat backs and see how it goes...

i wouldnt do it...some dud with a third gen tried this...and lets just say he had to buy new tails...and btw if you have the coupe it wont even be noticable...if you have the sedan it would look cool...but then again you cant open the tails...which sucks.... i was thinking about buy some OEM tails on ebay and paint the chrome housing black, but i realized that you cant open em up....GOOD LUCK

i really dont see why not... consdering something htat is manufactured can/should be able to be taken back apart, although u mite have to do some gluing or puting back together
