possible leaking rec. valve

I'm hearing a whislting sound from my car on the passenger side engine bay. Car doesnt seem to be running any different. I can hear the noise when the car seem to reach around 7psi. Could a leaking stock rec. valve cause this? The valve is from an s14 engine and I have been boosting it at 14psi.

fwiw my stock recirc weeps pressure a little from somewhere when I cap the outlet and blow into the inlet of my smic. can hardly FEEL any pressure loss, like my cheeks are a good psi gauge anyway... but I can definitely hear it leaking. I bit the bullet and bought a hotpipe and greddy rs because of this
