not sure if this is an issue or not but my car has started shocking me every time I get out of it. like if you drag your feet on carpet wearing socks and then touch something.... It's no big deal but now, it does it every single time... for like the past month. which makes me think, is there some sort of loose electric wire or something? I mean what are the chances of getting shocked every single time? lol no serious issue or anything but just weird.

Happens to me about 3/4ths of the time, especially if I spend more than 10 minutes in the car.

My last car (a Buick) would give me a serious f*in jolt sometimes, so I don't think that's a unique issue.

Perhaps a grounding kit might help with that.

Did it get colder than normal wherever you live? That could be it.

Mine does the same thing most likely just because its getting colder out. My wife got me a grounding kit for christmas so when I finally get a chance to install it ill let you know if it fixes the problem.

sounds like it could possibly be a bad chassis ground, just a thought

Unless you continuosly get shocked, its not an electrical system issue. You gata think, if you have some sort of power applied going through your chassis, everytime you touch it, you become the ground. So if you touch your car, and you get shocked, you should be able to do the exact same thing, and get shocked again. Thats the case if it were a real grounding issue. However, if you just get shocked once and it doens't occur the next time you immediatly touch it, then its just energy dissapating. A static shock.

Static Electricity:

A vehicle 'grounding kit' will have no effect on this happening.

exactly. my last altima did this and so is this one. its a bugger, but what can you do. just jump out of the car, slam that door, get a shock, rip your shirt open and just scream "FFUUUCCKKK YEAAAAA THAT FELT FU.CKING GOOOOOD!!!!!!""""

I got the grounding kit installed and just like I thought it's still doing it. So I'm about 99% sure its static electricity which increases in colder conditions
