a few months ago i installed a set of h11 5000k hids from http://www.mobilehid.com ... the kit looked decent and a few friends had picked up kits for their cars.

the install was fairly easy - just plug n play really... as expected. it came with the relay pre installed so there was nothing to think about othere than how i wanted to hide the wires to the battery.

my issue(s) ...

i let my altima sit for about 3 days over this weekend while i had permits on my 240. when i came back to use my altima after sitting, the battery was practically dead! it would still crank over but it had trouble trying to start - eventually it started after 10-12 tries with me pumping the gas. i was shocked at this considering the car is not even 2 yrs old and i made sure that i did not leave any doors ajar or lights on to drain the battery.

the other issue i noticed this morning was that my DaytimeRunningLights were no longer functioning and when i armed the car using the factory remote, the lights no longer flashed. i will have a look to see if any fuses are blown later today...

Has anyone else experienced anything like this or shine any light?

i have minimal mods to my car - only 1 which is electrical - but im a bit puzzled.

I haven't heard this case before but maybe try checking all the grounding?

Daytime running lights? You must have the only one in the world! Lol, I've never seen the altima with daytime running lights...

It sounds like your battery isn't charged correctly - could be a bad battery, it could be the alternator not charging your battery correctly. Try driving the car around for a while, and if the problem persists, take it to the dealer.

Also - your HID's are directly connected to the battery? That doesn't sound right to me...that could be causing a problem as well.

the only ground in the whole hid kit it on the negative battery terminal. nothng else was touched other than i put a Racingline Battery tie down on and did not re-use the bracket that braces the ecu.

drl are standard for CANADIAN vehicles ... trust me when i say they were working before.

as for my battery as my power source, that is how the kit was inteded to be wired up as may other things like stereo's work... i dont think thats the problem. i will check with a volt meter tonight to see if my alternator and battery are putting out the correct volts.

i believe there is a slight amperage draw that caused this... it wasnt enough to completely drain the battery over 3 days but definatly enough to cause a major drain. i drove it for 10-15 min yesterday and it held a charge until this morning when i drove it into work this morning (20km) so that battery would be all charged up again
