kyle@stillen wrote:Hey Guys,

So, as always SEMA show provided a great oppurtunity to meet with some new manufacturer's and set the stage for some great products. While I was at the show I took some time to meet with some head light manufacturers. I found a company out of So. Cal. that is currently working on a new head light for the A/C. I got to see some of the prototypes and see what they had in mind for the designs and believe me when I tell you, they are SICK!!! I am currently looking into how much everything will cost but I think this will be a much better option than having to risk damaging your factory lights. We are also talking about the different styles that they will offer such as halo style lights and different color options. It could be very neat.

How many people are interested in new head lights for their A/C's???
Oh for God's sake Kyle! Now you tell us! I'm def. interested!

i'm all in so long as the things are pieced back together with a ton of black goop (that doesn't seal) that shows when you open you hood. The custom ones were a major let down. even the ones people were satisfied with looked like complete garbage.wow, i'm being negative - but would like something professionally designed and built.

count me in!

OK guys, this was just to gauge interest...It's obviously there so we're going to run with this. Right now I don't know anything about price or styles. I have sent some pictures of the styles that we're looking at to the manufacturer and they are excited to see what we can all come up with. Making new lights takes time and I don't know if I can have parts by the end of the year. I'll try, but I want to be realistic about the time frame.

We are going to install these on our blue car and let them sit outside and catch some weather since we're coming into the rainy season and see how they perform. I have never been a big fan of aftermarket lights due to their likelihood of leaking or fogging up, and I told the manufacturer that. They have told me that they do their best to produce the highest quality stuff and I told them that I will be testing them in many different conditions to ensure their quality.

Stay tuned for more updates!

Also, I see alot of cars with our body kits in sig. pics and I just wanted to let you all know that the car is back in the modeling shop right now getting the "missing link" added...Look for some more body styling parts soon.

Missing Link huh. I am going to guess its a rear end or fenders. Both would be amazing.

I know you have your blue coupe. But white is better. So if you need another coupe to test on, you know who to call

Not to be a pessimist guys, but there are still a lot of questions to be answered ... and your interest may increase depending on the answers to those questions... i.e. price, style, projector vs non projector. It would be good if we could see some pics of work the company has done on other cars.... I mean if Stillen is backing them, then odds are its gonna look nice.. but I don't want you (Kyle) to make any decisions based off of initial hype responses, and then guys see the price, and the style, and suddenly the interest drops down to 4 or 5 people.

I for one would ONLY be interested if the lights were projectors, and high quality projectors at that... I've seen some stuff that other companies have made , even for the 3rd generation Altima and they are cheap, hot garbage... again, not dissing this company at all, just saying I would need waay more info before I even said I'd be interested!

Ok so if the companies kyle talked to at SEMA were the same guys i talked to, then yes they are working on projectors with halos and i didnt get a chance to look close up but it looked like a nice quality product to me. they said they should have em out it about 3-4 months for the A/C and i believe are already workin on lights for the sedan.

Kyle im def interested.

I'm almost positive I know which company Kyle is talking about. If I'm right, their work on other cars looks great.

Depending on the price, I'm interested. I just can't justify spending 1k on headlights no matter how sexy they are.

Man this is what I wanted, a good company that makes quality products and you dont have to send in your headlights. Last time we talked about headlights I was all hyped up but we ended up going with someone that customizes headlights but you had to send your headlights in. Plus the price was crazy so I backed down. Im jus hoping the price isnt gonna turn out crazy. So you can count me in for now.....
