Possible G37 owner, need feedback.

Yes both of you guys are right.

Tampa Matt was talking about the 1/4 miles and you are talking about the 0-60. Well not much of a shifting involved 0-60. It would be interesting to see the gearing for the new sedan then we can see if it can be faster or not. From 0-60 the 37 sedan is faster 5 second and the 07-08 sedan is 5.1. But the 1/4 mile not sure. Could be another extra shifting in there and that could affect the outcome.

Yeah, weight will be an issue. From what I have seen via online testing the G37 sedan is not faster than the G37 coupe.

That's what I thought. Damn weight. How the hell they managed to get the 7 speed 160lbs extra over the 5 speed? Can't see that much extra weight but that's what Infiniti got.

C&D got the G37 sedan to do the 0-60 in 5.0 flat!

That is faster than the Coupe! and also faster than the 07-08 sedan!

Realize the G37 sedan tested was a 7AT in which the lower gear will give better 0-60 over the tested 5AT coupe. 13.5 1/4 does not surprise me either as all I needed was a proper launch to do the same thing (IMO at least).

From what I hear another G37s coupe test will be released shortly where it was clocked 4.9 sec 0-60. The sedan may eventually be faster, but only time will tell at this point.

Here my answer to your originally questions:

Make sure you get 6MT and get the base car with no extras so its the lightest and the car mods well, just waiting for parts to be available and super chargers to be released.
