possible fuel pump

My car was running fine, but the fuel gauge stopping working..Immediately I assume the fuel sending unit was broke. I was right the lever for fuel gauge was broke....btw, the fuel pump is only about 6 mos old...

I removed the old unit and installed one from a junk yard....Problem fixed gauge works now...

Now the problem, fuel pump priming, car cranks, but wont start.

I am thinking possibly the fuel lines crossed, but have switched and nothing.

Has anyone ran to to something similar problems, suggestions..

Also, maybe someone attach pic of correct way fuel lines are connected..
