1992 Nissan 240sx MT140,000 miles

Hi,I just replaced my alternator and the starter in the past two months, when I was trouble shooting why my car wasn't starting I pulled all the fuses. The check engine light had been on for a while and after I replaced my starter, and fuses, the check engine light finally went off. It was off for a week , till I had to fill up the tank and the check engine light came back on. Now my car is starting to stall when I come to a stop. It can't be my alternator or my battery. It feels as if it will act up whenever I give it full throttle. It also feels a little sluggish when the tank is full. In the past the check engine light has been on at full tank, then turned off when at about mid tank. I took it to a shop to get diagnosed and they couldn't figure it out. They said it threw a code"55" which meant "everything was fine." I think it has something to do with the 'fuel system'[email protected]

i own two 92 coupes, BOTH fuel pumps have gone bad already, so check your fuel pressure if you think its a fuel problem. thats my advice on this subject more often then not these days.
