I have a large area of land that is flat. It's about 400 feet wide, and a thousand feet long at it's longest point. For those of you who don't work well with footage, it's almost an 8th of mile wide, and almost a 4th long. For those of you who are bad with milage, it's just HUGE.Now, I want to make this into a drift/auto x track. Before I even begin to think about this project, who would be interested in this track?

It will be located in Pennsylvania close to Butler.

Would anyone be interested in donating any money for this project? The property is based on our home business, so it's publically open. If anyone would donate, they would have a lifetime free pass to get in.I'm talking about a publically operated place for people to legally practice drifting on without risking another's life (EXAMPLE, THE NEW OWNER OF THE ZEROLIFT DRIFT CAR DRIFTING IN A PARKING LOT AND SMACKING A CURB! That person could have seriously injured someone in the process).

I'd also like to hold car shows, NICO or Nissan meets.

If I do this, there will also be concession stand, and an on-site tire changer

Like I said, this may never come to happen if no one is interested.

Any additional ideas from anyone?

It would be tight as hell to have your own drifting track, but you better start saving for Insurance.

Are you going to make it a big open lot or something along the lines of a mini race track?

Insurance is going to be easier to swing in comparison to the zoning issues and the other issues you're going to face with the city/country/state.

The drift pad will not just be mine. It will be a corporation with say 100 owners or so.

The track will have a board of directors with it too (Most likely the most local people) to keep everything maintained and organized.

Insurance will be on the track only during events. Our family companies liability insurance will cover it all the other time because the track owners won't own the land, just have a permanent lease.

And with those zoning issues and so fourth. We're checking in on those things right now.

I never said we did have it all worked out, did I?

I believe I said it's just an idea, and I'm working hard to figure out if it can be done or not. So don't bust my balls about it.

Thanks

Big open lot. About 250-300 ft by exactly 520.

Set up for some tandem and what not.
