I have a 89 240 5 sp, and there really isn't a problem. What I'm experiencing is when the car warms up and I need to speed up, my rpm's start to really go up , around 4000-4500, but my speed stays the same. Is it possible my clutch is starting to wear and slip or something else. But its ONLY when the car is pretty warm. The clutch has about 5-10k miles on it, and its a stage 1 XTD clutch. When I first had the clutch put in, the clutch petal wouldn't engage, and the mech. did some adjustments and then it worked. I guess another question is what did he adjust? Cause I didn't see what he did, but I do know he was under the car for like 2 sec. Any info would be a big help.

I would think you need to re-adjust your clutch, that's probably what your mechanic did. But i'm just guessing.

How does it pull when you are going up hills? MT?and if it was slipping when its hot you would notis because it would do it through the entire rpm range.

Going up hills is fine, but when the car really warms up, it dosen't matter if its up hill, down, or just straight road. I was reading about the clutch fluid warming up and expanding, and if there isn't enough clutch petal play, then it would kinda engage even though im not pressing on the clutch. So I'm gonna adjust the clutch switch under the dash and give it some more play and then see what happens when its gets warm again. Thanks for ya'lls help
