well i was sitting at the gas station with my friend and i just tapped my gas pedal and i saw white smoke come out not really thick but it was there.. so i figure i have myself a blown head gasket.....now onto my question... i have of course the head on my engine AND i have another engine in the garage. i have to pay for college and stuff so i figure just get the head on my spare engine re built and swap them out... or should i just re do my head gasket on my engine in my car and go from there... not sure which would be more effiecent for now....

I guess you could have your 2nd head get rebuilt and etc... while you start taking your engine apart.

I just finished changing my head gasket, and it was a pain in the butt haha, good luck.

if it's not real thick, it might just be condensation. Try smelling it. If it smells sweet, it's coolant. If not, it's just water vapor.

so it smells more gaseous than ne thing... i really dont smell ne thing sweet. and i removed my catalytic converter but the casing is still there so i figure maybe its just build up after sittin at a stop light and then going it comes out. there are a few bubbles every like 10 15 seconds but like maybe 3-4 small bubbles.
