Hi ALL :

I couldn't find a thread on this issue so I'm posting this ... when I crank over My pathy the starter kicks in and suddenly stops..a second a second then it starts up..

Possible bad starter or I just realized it might be a weak battery .. I haven't changed the battery since 2011....

Any ideas where else I should check other than the obvious ? :gotme

You're on the right track. It sounds like a drop in voltage somewhere. Start with the battery, but also trace the cables to the starter and make sure the solenoid connection and ground to the starter are tight. If that is all good, have the battery tested at your local auto parts shop.

Mine does the same thing about once a week, when restarting a warm engine. It has been doing this for several years and it always starts. I had the battery replaced and it still occurs and I attribute it to the starter.
