Yeah..... Thats great information how to make an aux-in thingy for any bose headunit...

It should work with any bose HU with the 10 pin CD changer plug

Oops, didn't even realize. I clicked the link, saw my head unit, and thought cool.

Swapping that HU in is easy and only costs ~$150.

Rex,what does it take to swap to the '97 HU - what is the $150 cost????

That HU has the same adapter for the aux in (cd changer) as the 95 Q stock HU..

thats the same head unit i have now after i replaced my broken one on 93 j30.i think mine may have come from a 99 pathfinder tho.

I think it should, i would try getting the thing first before you buy a new HU...

That's about what a used Nis/Inf Bose in dash CD HU costs on ebay. I prefer the G20/Pathfinder model.

If you're interested, I'll be glad to search and post up a few recommendations.

This is exactly what I have

This should work as well, I just didn't care for the large display

This "supposedly" does not require the adapter. I was told a Bose unit with the DNR button on the lower right would "plug right in"??

From what I've been told, only the one with the DNR button on the lower right hand corner is "direct" plug and play. The others require a ~$15 adapter, Nissan part # (I'll have to find it).

bah, who needs an adaptor. That's what heat shrink tubing/splicing is for
