Going to look at this tomorrow...

from craigslist:

for sale - 1990 240 sx. 90,000 miles. Automatic 12 valve 4 cylinder. $2000 firm. relatively recent repairs - new radiator, alternator, timing belt, water pump, master cylinder, head gasket, exhaust, battery. Good car. Has minor power steering leak, I just add a little fluid every couple of months. Never been wrecked. Minor blemish on front bumper where wife rubbed gas station pole. Wife has driven this car for the past 6 or 7 years and now she is pregnant and cant get in or out of it, plus no place for a car seat. Would make good first car. Sporty. In good shape for a car almost 20 years old. Price is firm. Won't find anything else like it for 2 grand.

pics:

I wasn't really looking to buy another 240, I was just looking for a nice DD for 2000 or less. The price is a little high for a '90 w/ an automatic, but 90k original miles and no rust might be worth it. I have a full 5 speed conversion in my basement, and the bumper and lip just need a respray. We'll see how it goes tomorrow. I hope it's as clean as the description and pics make it look.

i say its not a Great deal. the outside looks decent. but i have to give it to you that interior looks mint. correct me if im wrong but isnt a full 5 speed conversion pretty expensive. might want to consider just buying a manual to begin with. if you dont need it now, why rush. also you own 3 at the moment?! and you want another... why not drop that 2k on the others

Ummm...I already have all the parts for the conversion in my basement. I don't own 3 right now, this would be the fourth that I have owned. I only have my KA-T hatch. Why don't I spend 2k on it? It's stripped from the front seats back, has really stiff springs, an exhaust leak, loose baffle in the fuel tank that makes all sorts of noises, and it's a rusty piece of crap. As previously stated, I want a nice DD that I don't have to mess around with. This one just happens to be a 240.

I went and looked at it today, and it really is that clean. The engine bay was a little dirty, but no rust at all. There isn't even any around the spoiler mounting holes. The current owner bought it 6 years ago with 28,000 miles on it. An old lady was the original owner and obviously rarely drove the thing. It should be on the road this week, pending any DMV issues.
