Possibilities of changing out stock deck...

I just bought a 2005 Altima 2.5S with the basic am fm cd deck. I would like to keep my stereo deck stock but i want swap it out with a OEM deck with the satellite radio option. Does anyone know if I can upgrade to a better stock deck as far as the wiring is concerned? I have found the deck on ebay for around $200, but I dont want to waste the money if the wiring will not work.

You can certainly change out the stock head unit to a single or double din unit. You need to get wiring harness adapter to connect your aftermarket head unit to your car wiring. Also you can go to crutchfield.com and ask the advisor for more info.

I need to clarify that....

I want to go from Nissan's basic AM/FM/CD OEM deck to a Nissan AM/FM/SAT/CD OEM Deck.... I have the altima 2.5S and the deck that has SAT only comes on the SL i believe....I want to keep the deck OEM just from a higher model than mine with the SAT option

If the Sl version has Bose, then the short answer is no... too much rewiring.. the bose system (deck) is weak without the amplifier.. everything will sound realy low. Also, you need to find the factory satelite radio antenna and install that... IMO, too much work dude!
