Dunno, but I think only FLTa1 and FLTa2 can be rebuilt. The plain old school silver JIC's I don't know.

Yeah, those are the early version JIC coils. Those are older so I've never seen a set that wasn't blown or gonna blow soon. Hopefully the cartridges are all the same, call JIC USA and see. Let us know what the cost would be, I would estimate around $800 to do it, that's just a guess.

Are these the coils that jhot is selling on ebay for like $300? Yeah, I'd only use those for parts. $300 is a good price, but rebuild will cost more, and you can find good not blown used sets for around $600 or so.

What are the symptoms exactly that lets you know, you have some blown coilovers? I did Some amateur drifting in a parking lot the other week and ever since then I keep hearing weird noises coming from the front- I have a basic Tein coilover set up front and back- not sure if they're causing all the racket or something else like tierods or something- I'm still driving it but it keeps getting worse.

also, you can take coilovers to a motorcycle shop, sport bikes basically use the same suspension.

Your best bet is to put your your on a lift and check all gear underneath if anything is loose. I also had some clunking noises whenever hitting bumps or doing some harsh driving and put my car on a lift and found out that my adjustable coilover locks were loose causing the spring to have play in it.
