Ok.. a few tips.. DON'T port to gaskets on intake and exhaust - EVER.Youh ave to go a hair under in any place and you'll end up replacing that gasket every 3 months.NEVER knife edge the intake divider. you want a bull nose so that the air gains velocity over it like the leading edge of a plane wing.NEVER cut the guides off flush with the head, though it is alright to trim them down and radius fromt he base to the top to make it liek a small volcano.Roof of ports need no work.Floor of ports need no work., though exh short side sometimes need some work.

Blend seats into the runners, and take casting marks out of in and exh ports.

Other than that, thats about it, there is alot more you can do in the combustion chamber but unless you are a porting veteran, I'll steer away from that for now as you can make some big messes

Anything above t

Thanks! You just made me feel a hell of a lot better about my original game plan which was to leave the intake alone and do a mild port job on the exhaust runner and blend the seats into the exhaust ports. I also took the flapper wheel into the intake ports a little to blend the seats in there but that was it.

Alright I was getting jealous of TriniGT's blingin' head shots so I had to get some of my own on here. The head is going on tonight so hopefully the motor will be back in one piece by early next week.

Wish it were my head but it's JerryRigRB240's setup I just quoted.
