so you can port your head by grinding the ports out with a dremel or equivalent tool? or do you need a specific way to do it

it would take too long with a dremel, and you wouldnt have the reach or power to do it right.

The gains of porting on a SR head are very minimal and not worth the time nor money. You already have a head designed by nissan for forced induction. Porting it really wont make it flow that much better. From the research me and my buddies have done your better off port matching your intake and exhaust manifolds and leaving it at that.

Yikes! The SR head needs something for better flow though.

Ok well you show me some dyno numbers of ported SR head vrs Stock on most of the setup the people on here will run and Ill show you why they $1000+ job of a good port isnt worth it.

If your going all race yea port is good but for the majority of people on here that have a GT2871R at the most its not worth it.

Also GSR Im guessing Integra? NA honda motor vrs a Nissan Turbo motor... Of course a GSR would need a port.

point proven. Your building a nasty motor. This guy probably still is running the stock turbo.

true. i think anything t2 based is a waste on these motors.

my motor should be pretty bad if i can ever get it done.

Quoted for understatement! Make a thread once it is done.

What managment do you plan to run cause 272 is a great cam but 288? Id be interested to see if the thing would idle lol. 272 will give it a nice lop idle.

Also I agree with ya on the turbo size. I just got my GT35R (ported and clipped) and I love it. 2nd gear now wont get traction if I dont ease into it.

most likely an aem ems.. i ****ing hate MAF.i want to try bikirom for now, because an option to use a map sensor should be released soon.

1600cc injectors, 288 cams ( i want to see a cam card first)i have a gt3537, should be nuts

AEM is a good system. I liek the Power FC but it is a bit limiting but easy install. But I personally dont need anything more agressive than it since Im running under 500hp and dont need to rid myself of the MAF just yet (even though I hate it).

also 1600cc lol those are bigger than my buddies secondary injectors on his Rx-7. He was putting down around 400 whp. What top feed setup would you go with since I dont know of anyone who make 1600cc side feed? Id recommend aeromotive for fuel things. I love there products.

Sounds almost exactly like the setup my buddy is running on his Corrado. Hes got a 3.2L VR6 (fully build head and bottom end) and transmission (AWD setup) out of a R32 golf, GT45R turbo, Autronic, MAP, Intake and exhaust mani, 1200cc injectors and a bunch of supporting mods. His aims are 800-1000hp

i thought about porting my sr20 and upgrading to a top mount. but i have decided to keep my bottom mount gt2871r .86, and just bored my sr out to 2.2 and replace the springs in my head as well as port match my intake and exhaust. (btw the entire motor has been cryo treated)

is your motor in the other shell yet? i'd like to see how a 2.2 pushes that gt2871

turbine housing is .86

I am thinking it will spool by the 2800-3000 i hope at least. normal driving will be 17.5psi and spirited i am planning for around 22psi with a redline of 8000. I am hoping it won't drop off to bad up top. but if it does, I am not against changing my turbo setup later on.

with my 4.36 gear ratio I expect it to be pretty mean down low though.

e85 requires different A:F ratios I believe than gas but yes it has 112 octane.
