Porting bass from trunk to cabin?

07 4 door, i have a sealed box with dual Boston subs in the trunk, when I lay down one back seat (drivers side) I get awesome Bass performance. So I want to make some type of air port that allows this without always having the seat down.

I was thinking of making a port between the two 6x9's on the back deck. I have some 6x9 grills I could paint to match the interior color so it looks good on the top side, just cut the metal with my dremel.

Anyone else have other ideas or thoughts? I have a nice clean install and want to keep it that way.
