Before my engine blew up My 1990 240 would make these popping sounds from the rear (Maybie) the Rear end? when I take slow sharp turns, in reverse and in forward. I did't hear the sound when I went past 5-6 mph.
What could this be?

But If I accelerated hard I hear nothing. Could this be the spider gears worn out?

Could be the rear upper shock mounts or some of the sub frame bushings. The rubber in them often wears out. My car is making a similar sound.
