yes another popping while steering question.

tc rods - cuscotie rods (inner and outer)- splend links - pdm whiteline type adjustablesway bar - whitelinenismo braceshocks/strusts - christmas trees (kyb agx/tein springs)

ok, so my car makes a noticable popping noise often when i turn right. the noise will sometimes occur when i am returning the steering wheel from a right turn, but it rarely happens when i turn left. i have inspected my suspension and there isnt any obvious problem. i have checked the whiteline endlink brackets and they are not broken. the end links are aligned so that they are practically vertical when the car sits on the ground. i have the tc rods set so that they are equal lengths (i did this because the instructions did not specify a particular length to use as a basis for later adjustments). i also did this for the end links, they are both set at equal lengths.

so i couldnt have worn tc rods (as mine are cusco no rubber)no worn tie rods (solid spl style)and no worn end links (once again solid, spherical bearings)

anyone have any ideas?

You replaced your struts but not your strut mounts? Could be them, they have a small bearing inside w/ grease that over time, will deteriorate and bind/pop a lot. But you didn't state in your title what year/model you have. I'm assuming a 240sx, so they probably need to be addressed.

Could be poor spring seating. It can also be the upper bearing. I recently dealt with a popping issue in my max over the last few weeks. Turns out the previous owner or whoever installed the H&R's for him aligned the upper spring cap incorrectly. It is stamped quite clearly on the seat the word, "out". This should face the same sides as the lower strut mount that protrudes from the strut body. Not lining this up can cause the upper spring cap to hit the inside of the strut tower. Check to make sure the spring is aligned correctly on the bottom as well.

Mine also had a bad bearing on the left side. The bearing was nearly completely gone, leaving a very thin piece of plastic as a bearing. It wasn't even worth putting back in as it was pretty shredded too. Ordered a new one and installed it this weekend and no popping noises.

I had this problem. Replaced my top bearing mounts and it was elimanated. The right top bearing mount was gone.
