i have a 91 240sx ...

when i try to push my car in neutral with the ebrakes down .. i need a lot of force to get it to move and when it moves it makes a popping noise from the front.

i kno its not really detailed but anybody know what might be wrong with my car?

it doesnt like being controlled in neutral, it likes being dominant while engaged in gears.

i dont know, maybe front brakes worn out sooo badly down to medal that at real slow speeds you get that catch release effect which makes popping sound or whatever. dont know, give us enough details.

better yet, one weekend open your front brake calipers, push them apart, then put it back on and try to push the car like that, before stepping on brakes. dont push them too far apart.

check all the boalts to make sure every thing is tight under the car, it could be a loose bolt on the sub frame.

i had a poping noise on my rear right tire once and it was a a few loose lugnuts that held the wheel.

scary to think tho that i have been driving on the freeway and stuff like that for a few days.

Also, make sure that the groovy part of the lugnut is going into the tire...what happened to me was i did it so quickly i didnt notice it.
