I just put a lowering 1.3 lowering kit on my 2005 altima 3.5l and now i have a popping noise in the frontend. I took it to a nissan dealer and they told me i stressed out the firewall sub frame bracket. They also told me if i replaced it that it might not solve my problem. Has anybody else had this same problem or no had to solve the noise.

When do you hear the noise? Under acceleration, braking, turning...please be specific.

He answered your question already.

In response to your question glenn, I would check to make sure that you tightened everything down when you installed the new parts as it sounds like a loose part. I would especially check the upper mounting nuts (the ones in the engine bay) and the sway bar links.

make sure the spring is seated in he perches correctly. double check all your nuts and bolts for tightness. its common for me to put struts on these altimas at work for a "knocking noise" you may have a bad strut or two, and the lowering springs just made the noise more noticible.

After a nut and bolt drive the car and apply slight brake pressure.See if it changes when braking slightly.
