I just put a new set of wheels all around my car, but they're the same size as my old ones and everything, but my tie rod boots have been cracked and leaking fluid.
Now when I was driving on the new wheels, every time the driver side wheel rotates, there's a nasty popping sound, but it doesn't make any noise when I jack up the car and spin the wheel freely with no weight on it.
Do you think this could be related to the tie rod or possibly my steering rack?
I won't want to drive my car until I fix it, so I'd appreciate any help on the subject.
Thanks.

Why dont you try replacing your tie rods, might as well do it since the boots are torn. Its easy to replace them. I just did mine a month ago n took me maybe an hr and a half.

IF your bellows boots have fluid in them, then your rack seals are shot. As for the noise, under weight could be the bearing, but I would think its a joint of sorts. LBJ, tie rods, sway bar link or even the rack bushing.

I've got Powered By Max coilovers, and it's not ridiculously low.
15X7 wheels w/ 205/55 I think.
I took the driver side wheel off and the hub centric ring for the wheel came off, so I put it back in and tightened the wheels back.
Went for a test drive and it doesn't make the sound going straight or left, but it still pops going right, so I'm thinking that's because of the boot, since it's cracked.
Depending on how much I get paid, I might just order new inner/outer rods and boots.
