Haven't posted in a while, but was hoping i could get some feedback from you guys!

Anyone else experience(d) the following:

- Steering Wheel - When turning in any direction low and high speeds, I get a whizzing noise (similar to that if you ran your fingernail over one of those old holographic lenticular rulers you had as a kid).

- Rear Dash Panel - Everytime i go over a bump i get a popping noise in the rear of the cabin. It sounds like a plastic noise, but dealership hasnt been able to figure out what it is. =/

Any thoughts would be helpful!

Thanks!

I got some plastic tapping noise coming from rear also. Sounds like its coming from inside the trunk right behind driver side back seat. I hear the noise when I go over a mild bump. But dont hear it when it hit hard bumps. It's weird.

I been meaning to pull out the plastic cover to see whats making the noise... but its been too damn cold here.

WHen it comes to one thing I really hate about the coupe it has to be the cheap sounds of ratling all over the car. My back seat raddle is exactly the same as yours and it drives me nuts. I also have a rattle coming from my passenger side front speaker on the dash. The seatbealts hitting the plastic also bugs the hell out of me. If anyone has a nice fix for some of these things I will love you forever!

the seatbelt is just a matter of moving the seat either back or foward

check your power steering fluid level, a wizzing or hissing sound when you turn the wheel could mean you have air in the system. if it is low there probably is a leak and you should take it to the dealership for warranty if you have it, hope that isn't it.

I too have this popping noise. I have removed the entire headliner and pass. side door panel and have not been able to track it down. It is driving me absolutely nuts! If anyone is able to fix this, PLEASE POST ASAP!

Well... it was really nice out today around 48degree and the tapping/popping noise was gone. Weird.

I have also been able to fix the passenger side seatbelt noise by adjusting the height bar up on passenger seatbelt bracket.

I have an intermittent squak/chip comming out of the dash/front end of the interior of the vehicle. I have been back to the dealership 4 times for this issue to isolate it. still no luck, the car is there again. each time they work on it, the frequency decreases, however it drives me nuts. It happens on bumpy/rough roads.

Could it be an mechanisim inside the stock CD player?

Any thoughts? or have you had a similar issue?

yeah the popping noise is due to the seatbelt. AND i Have that weird wizzing noise from the steering wheel as well. Its been like that since i got the car and my steering is fine doubt thats a leak. Its like theres something in between there rubbing against it when you turn it

Sorry to bring back an old thread...

I have a Sedan (2010) and I'm experiencing a similar popping sound coming from behind my rear left seat. I had someone drive while I laid back there with the seats down. It's coming from behind the plastic cover, but I can't tell what the hell it is.

The kicker here is it only happens when it's cold (on my way to work in the morning). When it's cold, I would say it happens about 10-20% of the time. Like someone also said on this thread, large bumps does not make the sound, only small bumps in the road. Weird.

Is behind the back seat the same as the sedan as it is in the coupe?

Thanks

Wow, and I thought it was just me. The first noises are most definitely a seatbelt. However, I get a whirring noise going over 70 ish...It sounds like the wind blowing through plastic wrap or something. My car is only 6 months old, but its always done it. I looked at undercarriage and couldnt find anything loose.

Please help..it drives me crazy. Well, if I have the radio turned up, I guess it doesnt matter, but I'm just waiting for something to fall off.

That wind blowing noise might be coming from the moon-roof. Mine does. Closing the panel tight makes it go away.

Same here about popping noise in the rear.

Ive checked the moon roof, nothing lose there. Its coming from the rear, maybe the trunk, spoiler, or underneath. I cant check it at 70mph so its hard to track down. Im going to tell them at dealer when I get my first oil change.

Popping noise may be ABS self check?? I know my popping noise comes from the front though.
