Popping noise coming from under front end

My first guess is maybe U-Joints going bad. Had exact same issue on a past Jeep. But it only does it once and a great while. I assure you though it is DEFINITELY noticeable over music, etc, etc. If I am going to end up buying the 98 Q from my mother I'd really love for it not to be the transfer case going!

I am having something similar happen with my '02. Fairly loud pop seems like it's coming from the steering. Only happens when it is started from cold, and making a tight turn to get out of my parking space. No other noises when driving. Sound like your problem?

I'm getting it aligned in a few weeks anyway, I will have them look it over. I will report back if anything is found.
