I have a 1993 240sx and I believe it has a OEM, but not the original, suspension. I had a BAD encounter with a pothole a few months back. I was forced into it by a crazy driver in the middle of the road, and it hit both wheels on the passengers side. It was bad enough to break my back right alloy rim in half.I am a poor college student and I am just now getting enough time to get the car looked at. In the meantime the steering wanders a little, and I have have people say my right side suspension is "clunkier" than the left side (good specific term...) Anyway, the other day I made a very hard turn to the left and I heard and felt a loud popping from the front left wheel. I am getting an alignment in about a week, and I am going to have them look over the control arms and check the studs for warpage. Is there anything else in the suspension linkage or the like that I should speicifically ask them to check out? Thanks in advance.

Tension rods and sway bar endlinks.

Cool, tell you what... have someone drive your car and let them creep forward about 5mph and slam on the brakes. See if the front wheel moves when you hear the pop. It will be obvious.

If thats the case you need tension rods.

Part 2.

Crawl under the car and inspect the sway endlinks. Grab ahold of the bar and tug on it and see how much play you can put in them. Badly worn endlinks are pretty obvious with this simple test.
