poping noise and idle funny

Yes i searched, and will still search, just want more inputs.Wsupz all, some of you might remember me from way back. Anywayz i had a 91 240sx and recently bought the 96 240sx. The s14's resonator broke off, i can feel the car making poping noise once in a while. So i got it fix at meineke, they weld a aftermarket resonator to the pipe( did a ****ty job). Right after i got my car back, the intermittent poping noise was still there my idle fluctuate(which didn't happen when the hole was at the exhaust), and my car choke once in a while during 2000-3000 rpm.

So far i I changed my oil, cleaned the throttle, replaced the fuel filter, nothing really seems loose/ disconnected. Took off the neg and pos and touch them together( was told by a friend that works at acura) to reset the comp so it can learn my new idle with the exhuast repaired. Going to change cap, roter and plug tom.

Problem still there. Haven't really work on car for a while due to military so i'm kinda rusty and need some input to refresh my brain. Thanks.

i changed the rotor, cap and spark plug with the Bosch double plat. tip today.My funny idle and poping noise seems to went away. But it felt like i lost power no acceleration or torque anymore. The car will rev up to 6000rpm with no problem but the car wont move! please help.

bosch plugs dont work in nissans. does the problem change with engine temperature?
